Royal DSM to Upgrade U.S. Facility, Produce Waterborne Resins For Coatings

Royal DSM, a global life sciences and materials sciences company based in the Netherlands, will upgrade its manufacturing facility in Wilmington, Mass., and begin producing waterborne resins for coatings.

The company’s portfolio of resins—NeoRez, NeoRad and NeoPac—are used in wood floor coatings, as well as in construction, adhesives, decorative, packaging, automotive, textiles and general industrial segments.

‘This substantial investment in our full range of waterborne urethane capabilities in Wilmington shows our commitment to the success of our customers and our belief in the North American market, ” said Rijoy Putatunda, president DSM coating resins, in a statement.

Royal DSM employs 24,000 people around the globe. It has net sales of around $11.4 billion, according to the company.
