The International Surface Event’s annually chosen Education Advisory Council includes five people at the forefront of training in their industries. Next year, count National Wood Flooring Association Vice President of Education & Certification Brett Miller among them.
“I am honored to be a part of the Education Advisory Counsel for TISE,” Miller said. “I am looking forward to working with this great group of people to assist in any way I can in coordination for the educational opportunities at the Surfaces convention.”
Miller will join four others from across the floor coverings industry to pinpoint the trends, challenges and opportunities in the industry and address the educational needs of TISE attendees.
“Comprised of dedicated individuals with a vested interest in improving the overall industry through education and training, each member brings their unique perspective from the field they represent,” according to a TISE statement.
The group is:

- Alex Bachrach, group publisher, Stone World, TILE, Floor Trends, Floor Covering Installer, Contemporary Stone & Tile Design
- Bart Bettiga, executive director, Ceramic Tile Education Foundation
- Brian Gracon, PhD, owner and president, Brian Gracon & Associates Inc.
- Jay Jacobs, national sales manager, Congoleum Corp.
TISE 2016 will take place Jan. 20–22, 2016, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, in conjunction with Design & Construction Week. The education program begins Jan. 19.
