Three Shaw Women Receive STEP Award from Manufacturing Institute

The Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, will award three women from Shaw Industries (Dalton, Ga.) with a Women in Manufacturing STEP Award.

The STEP (science, technology, engineering and production) Award will go to Kellie Ballew, product sustainability manager; Reesie Duncan, Shaw Contract Group creative director; and Deanna Mathis, supply chain business solutions manager.

Bale and Duncan are among 100 recipients to be recognized as honorees, and Mathis is one of 30 emerging leaders selected.

"These women are the faces of exciting careers in manufacturing," said The Manufacturing Institute President Jennifer McNelly. "We chose to honor these women because of their significant achievements in manufacturing through positive impact on their company and the industry as a whole."

The three women will receive their awards at a reception in Washington D.C. on March 26.
