The 59th International World of Wood Conference, held March 18–20 in Las Vegas, saw a 26 percent growth in attendance compared with last year’s event, according to the event’s host, the International Wood Products Association.
The event included presentations from sales strategists; wood legality verification experts from industry associations, non-governmental organizations and federal agencies; and the sustainable sourcing authorities.
Rex Lumber Company’s Craig Forester became IWPA’s president for 2015.
"I look forward to an active year as the new IWPA president," he said in a statement. "Our industry faces many challenges and opportunities in the growing global trade market, and my focus will be on growing our membership to meet them head on.”
World of Wood 2016 will take place at the JW Marriot in Austin, Texas, on April 6–8, 2016.
