Lumber Liquidators has invested about $5 million in a finishing line in Toano, Va., that doubles the production capacity of the company’s hardwood flooring products, according to a statement from the company.
The new finishing line can produce hand-scraped and wire-brushed looks, and uses an “effects machine” system to catalog surface characteristics in order to replicate certain looks on all products.
The line also features an automated packaging station and a new vacuum stacker.
