The Tavern’s rustic floor was installed by five-time Wood Floor of the Year winner Archetypal Imagery (Bronx, N.Y.) using H.B. Fuller Construction Products Inc.’s’s (Aurora, Ill.) TEC adhesive.
The floor features 6,000 square feet of 56-inch handcrafted French Versailles parquet panels, which were called for by the designers in order to complement the wooden beams in the Tavern’s vaulted ceilings that were uncovered during the renovation. The subfloor was 3/8-inch-thick Baltic birch.
Archetypal used TEC Woodstrong Premium Urethane wood flooring adhesive because the company found it would hold up to spills inside the restaurant and the location’s daily sanitary washing.
