Fifteen National Wood Flooring Association member companies were recognized for their efforts to “Play It Forward” in their own communities in 2014.
The companies recognized included Durham, N.C.-based Accent Hardwood Flooring, which donated material and labor to its local Fix-a-Home project; Bona US, which raised $7,830 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center; and New Dimension Hardwood Floors, which repaired and refinished hardwood floors in a home rehabbed by the Veterans Housing Project.
The rest of the companies, whose stories can be read on page 90 and 91 of NWFA’s 2015 Wood Flooring Expo Guide, are: Carpet Source of Winter Park, Urban Floor, Gunneson Flooring Company, Hallmark Floors, Install North Central States Floor Coverers Training Center, Mr. Sandless of Sarasota, Owens Floor by Quanex Building Products, Shaw Industries, Sheoga Hardwood Flooring & Paneling, Storefloors, Southern Hardwood & Floor Supply, and Walk on Wood.
