Wood flooring manufacturer Barlinek (Barlinek, Poland) has suspended operations at its production facility in Vinnytsia, in west-central Ukraine, saying it can no longer guarantee the safety of its workforce amid Russian strikes, according to Polish news outlet TVP World. The plant, which Barlinek has operated since 2007, employs more than 800 people and is described by the company as a key part of its manufacturing operations.

The decision was announced after Cersanit, a tile and bathroom fixture manufacturer under the same ownership, was hit by the second drone attack in two months. The Vinnytsia plant was struck by Russian drones in July 2025, killing one person and injuring several others.

“People's safety is our highest priority, and we cannot expose them to danger,” Barlinek said in a statement on its website. “Under present conditions, we are unable to ensure the safety of our workforce.”
