Kebony, the Norwegian manufacturer that developed a process to create imitation tropical hardwood from sustainable softwood, is building a second factory in Europe to keep up with demand, according to Fordaq.
International sales have increased by an average of 35 percent during the last seven years, Kebony CEO Christian Jebsen told Fordaq.
The second factory will cost $20.6 million. It will be built in Belgium, and the company expects it to be operational by 2017.
