Mercer Abrasives div. of Mercer Tool Corp. (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) changed its name to Mercer Industries.
The switch is in response to a shift in corporate strategy and product expansion during the last several years.
“Mercer is not just about abrasives anymore,” said Ryan Trimble, product manager. “Our product portfolio continues to expand into new categories, such as carbide blades, diamond blades and safety products.”
A new website accompanied the announcement—www.mercerindustries.com.
