Domotex Asia/Chinafloor 2016 Reports 9.3 Percent Attendance Increase

The 2016 Domotex Asia/Chinafloor, an annual flooring mega-expo, attracted 50,398 attendees to the event’s 18th iteration in Shanghai, China, on March 22–24, an increase of 9.3 percent.

Exhibitors numbered 1,303 and came from 39 countries. They “were highly satisfied” with the event, according to a statement from the organizers, and 62.8 percent of them have already booked space for next year’s event.

Domotex Asia/Chinafloor 2016 filled 12 halls in the Shanghai New International Expo Center, a total area of 140,000 square meters (1.51 million square feet).

“We have got very positive feedback from our exhibitors who have especially highlighted the high quality of the visitors and buyers for this edition,” said Martin Folkerts, director of global affairs at organizer Deutsche Messe, in a statement. “The show keeps increasing on both size and quality, and we are committed to continue in the same pace for the future editions."

The 2017 Domotex Asia/Chinafloor is scheduled March 21–23.
