Wood flooring production within European Federation of Parquet Industry territory—which includes 18 countries—in 2015 grew 2.61 percent to nearly 64 million square meters (688.8 million square feet).
Wood flooring consumption within the FEP territory in 2015 grew 0.48 percent over 2014 to 75.7 million square meters (814.8 million square feet).
Seventy-nine percent of the flooring produced in all of Europe in 2015 was engineered, while 19 percent was solid and 2 percent was parquet.
Poland manufactured the most wood flooring of any country in Europe, totaling 20.32 percent of European production. Following Poland was Sweden, 16.63 percent, and Austria, 14.24 percent.
