Lewis Lumber & Milling Inc. (Dickson, Tenn.) received the NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification.
The certification shows Lewis Lumber’s wood flooring meets or exceeds industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content and average board length. The mill will be inspected a minimum of twice per year, per the certification requirements.
“It has been a gratifying challenge to help build the business at Lewis Lumber and Milling,” said Tim Ellrich, lumber sales with Lewis Lumber, in a statement. “We have a simple principle: it has got to be right. The NWFA/ NOFMA Program give us the tools and feedback to continue being successful in the future.”
Twenty-three companies in the United States and Canada now hold the NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification.
“Embracing transparency and third-party certification in the wood flooring space has become a requisite to compete at a high level,” said John Forbes, NWFA manufacturer services director. “The growing list of NWFA/NOFMA manufacturer members is an excellent example of this growing market demand.”
