Custom Floor Finishing of Wisconsin, a new prefinishing company founded by Dan Corullo and Tom Abendroth in Montello, Wis., has been ramping up production for the past four months and is now at full production.
The company can be hired by manufacturers to prefinish wood flooring with up to seven coats of UV-cured finish from Bona, and the process includes a wire-brush option and a 35-year warranty. Custom Floor Finishing will then ship the product to distribution centers and retail stores.
The business is based in a factory that previously manufactured wooden venetian blinds. Corullo purchased the land and facility in January, and began setting up the facility’s equipment for flooring shortly thereafter. He also kept the facility’s key employees, he said, including the head of maintenance, machine operator and general manager, among others.
“On a scale of one to 10, in terms of the quality of the crew, I have a 10,” Corullo said. “In terms of the quality of the finish, we’ve had a number of customers telling us we’re second to none.”
The facility is located at 167 E. 5th St. in Montello. Contact John Tramburg, general manager, for more information via email or at (608) 369-1305.
