Shaw Industries Inc. (Dalton, Ga.) named “Lush” its 2017 Color of the Year.

Lush is described as an array of greens inspired by nature, and it speaks to current trends of health, wellbeing and renewal, according to a company statement.

“From the tallest trees to the deepest valleys, green surrounds us,” said Debbie Houston, Shaw creative director, in a statement. “It’s vibrant, but at the same time, soothing… Lush is nature’s neutral.”

Lush is a universally appealing color and an “excellent companion to hardwood flooring,” the company said.
