Henry Ford’s estate Fair Lane in Dearborn, Mich., is currently undergoing restoration and is using the space to host a number of educational workshops, including one on refinishing wood floors with WFB blogger Michael Purser.
Purser, owner of The Rosebud Company (Atlanta), will teach participants how to identify types of wood flooring and their suitability for his company’s “Passive Refinishing” technique, which doesn’t require sanding.
The technique was developed after Purser began working with historic homes where conventional sanding was not an option, including Montpelier in Virginia, the home of James and Dolley Madison.
The course will take place March 25 from 1–4 p.m. Registration costs $45 and can be completed online.
