Loba, the German supplier that co-owns Loba-Wakol LLC based in Pineville, N.C., named Ashley Carter as its general manager and COO, and Alfred Melka as its global director of technical services.
Melka was the general manager of Loba-Wakol for the past nine years. He will be moving back to Germany for his new role.
Carter was most recently at Ardex Engineered Cements.
"Having grown organizations of similar size in the engineered cements market and used new technologies to provide better solutions and higher value for our customers, I see many parallels for dramatic growth here, and I am thrilled to join Loba-Wakol's outstanding team,” Carter said in a statement.
