3M Appoints COO and Vice Chair

3M (Saint Paul, Minn.) appointed Michael Roman as COO and executive vice president and Hak Cheol (H.C.) Shin as vice chair and executive vice president.

Roman is responsible for 3M’s five business groups as well as the company’s international operations. He was previously executive vice president of the 3M Industrial Business Group. Shin now leads global teams for 3M, including research and development, strategy and business development, supply chain operations and information technology, and business transformation. Shin was previously 3M executive vice president of international operations.
