American OEM Wood Floors (Burns, Tenn.) hosted its third annual staff appreciation lunch at the Turney Center Correction Facility for 200 offenders and correctional officers who staff the company’s manufacturing facility.

Company COO Todd Braun and other OEM management staff cooked more than 300 pounds of pulled pork and chicken, as well as macaroni and cheese, collard greens and cole slaw.

“Serving the staff is our way of showing them that their tremendous efforts throughout the year do not go unnoticed or unappreciated,” said Doug Van Nest, vice president of manufacturing, in a statement. “They are fundamental members of our team, and without them, we could not be successful.”
