Wood Pro Inc. (Auburn, Mass.) hosted about 300 people representing around 150 companies at the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium for the company’s Wood Pro Hard Surface Flooring Showcase July 12.
The event, held inside the Putnam Club overlooking the football field below, consisted of educational seminars, a mini tradeshow, stadium tours, meet and greets with Patriot cheerleaders and former players, prize drawings, and a southern-theme barbecue buffet.
“It was a good opportunity for them and for us to get out of the business environment we’re in on a daily basis and talk about concerns, the good things we do and how we’re working together,” said Wood Pro CEO Tony Benvenuti. “It humanizes things. We’re in this together.”
Attendees attended seminars on how to compete in 2017 and how to handle claims, as well as a session about laminate and WPC products.
The mini tradeshow featured booths stationed by representatives from Mullican Flooring, Forest Accents, Mercier Wood Flooring, Robinson Lumber, Palladio, Oak Crest Unfinished Engineered, Free Fit, Kaindl and Quickstyle WPC.
Wood Pro also used the event to introduce new product options, including products from Mullican Flooring, as well as a laminate and vinyl WPC line.
The Showcase was a huge success, Benvenuti said, and he expects to host the event next year, too.
“It allowed us to sit down face-to-face with these customers and emphasize their importance to us,” he said. “It’s not a one-way street.”
