Armstrong Flooring (Lancaster, Pa.) will receive a $5 million loan from the West Virginia Economic Development Authority to help pay for the expansion of the company’s plant in Beverly, W. Va.
The plant expansion, which was announced in October, will add 85,000 square feet and allow the company to store finished products at the site instead of off-site.
Armstrong also received a $2.5 million grant to expand the facility. The grant came from the federal Economic Development Administration as part of the Assistance to Coal Communities initiative.
The Beverly plant is the largest prefinished hardwood flooring plant in the country, according to The Intermountain, a newspaper covering the Beverly area.
