Armstrong Expands Three Distributor Territories, Ends William M. Bird Partnership

Armstrong Flooring (Lancaster, Pa.) will expand the territories of three of its distributors on April 1.

Haines (Glen Burnie, Md.) currently distributes Armstrong Flooring products in the Mid-Atlantic region but will broaden its area to parts of South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and the Florida Panhandle.

Derr Flooring Co. (Willow Grove, Pa.), which currently handles Armstrong Flooring hardwood brands in the Mid-Atlantic, will also serve parts of northern Virginia with the Bruce brand in a dual distribution capacity with J.J. Haines.

Ohio Valley Flooring (Cincinnati) is currently an Armstrong Flooring distributor in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania and will expand to include western Pennsylvania.

In a statement, Armstrong Flooring President and CEO Don Maier said the company was excited by Haines’ ongoing investments in distribution infrastructure and logistics technology, and that the company was also pleased to reward the exceptional performance and service from Derr and Ohio Valley. “At the same time, we recognize that this expansion of distributor territories will bring an end to our longtime partnership with William M. Bird,” Maier said. “We value their role in our company’s development over the years and the service they have provided to customers.”
