Armstrong Flooring Sustainability Manager Receives STEP Ahead Award

Armstrong Flooring (Lancaster, Pa.) Sustainability Manager Amy Costello was recognized by the Manufacturing Institute with the Women in Manufacturing STEP Ahead Award, an honor given to women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in the industry.

Costello has over 25 years of experience as a licensed environmental engineer and is in charge of driving sustainability for Armstrong in operations and on the product side, according to a press release, focusing on ways to reduce energy and water usage and minimize waste. She has worked at Armstrong for 11 years.

STEP stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Production. The Manufacturing Institute will host a reception for 130 recipients of the award in Washington, D.C., on April 10.
