Amazon.com became the latest retailer to announce it will ban paint stripping products containing the chemicals methylene chloride and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), effective March 2019. The chemicals have been tied to several deaths. Other retailers that have banned the chemicals include Lowe’s, The Home Depot and Sherwin-Williams.
