HPS Schönox (Florence, Ala.) announced the winners of its fifth annual Worst Subfloor Contest, the contest honoring the most challenging subfloor projects from 2018.
First place went to H.J. Martin and Sons (Green Bay, Wis.), and second and third honors were awarded to Kaufman Concrete Company (Louisville, Ky.) and Design South Flooring and Interiors (Saltillo, Miss.), respectively. Nashville Flooring (Nashville, Tenn.) was named Honorable Mention.
First place received a Porsche Track Experience, second place won a Sony 65-inch Smart TV and the third place honoree was awarded an Xbox One.
With 132 entries, the contest received the most submissions since it began five years ago.
“The competition was fierce this year,” stated Greg Mercurio, one of the three judges for the contest.
HPS Schönox will begin accepting entries for the next competition May 15.
