Students and instructors at IWFA's second Extreme Wood Floors School held Feb. 25–March 1, 2019.
IWFA was formed last year with the intent to “unite all segments of the global wood flooring industry and its professionals as a worldwide, inclusive community,” according to its website. It also aims to advance technical education of the craft, and has so far held two Extreme Wood Floors Schools at Castlewood Corporation Tell City, Ind. The most recent school was led by industry elites Howard Brickman of Brickman Consulting (Norwell, Mass.); Avedis Duvenjian and Vartan Arutyunian of Archetypal Imagery Corp. (New York); and Greg Ceglarski of Scribed Flooring (Brisbane, Australia).
IWFA membership fees are as follows:

IWFA will review and accept other wood flooring trade association certifications and issue an equivalent technical certificate, it says.
