WFB Briefs: Brazil Wood Exports Tumble; Slight Increase in August Construction Spending

Brazilian exports of wood-based products, excluding pulp and paper, fell 22% year-over-year in August, Fordaq.com reports. Exports declined from $282.4 million to $219.7 million.

Construction spending increased 0.1% in August to $1.287 trillion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Spending is down 1.9% year-over-year. The full report can be found here.
