Olde Wood Limited announced the launch of a wood filler product made from hemp plants—the first product of its kind, according to the company.
The filler, AngelFiber Hemp Wood Filler, is VOC-free and contains flowering hemp plants’ fibers and oils. The natural properties help reduce waste and create a more sustainable, biodegradable product, the company stated. The filler is also more durable, flexible and resilient than other synthetic knot fillers, Olde Wood added.
“As the first and only manufacturer of this specialty, patent-pending hemp wood filler product, not only are we taking special care of the Earth’s natural resources, we are also proudly creating more jobs for hard-working Americans in this new era of cannabis farming and manufacturing,” Olde Wood Owner and Founder Tommy Sancic said in a statement.
The new filler is currently available exclusively on Olde Wood products. The farm-grown industrial hemp used in the product is harvested in Magnolia, Ohio.
