Taylor Adhesives introduced “The Buzz,” a blog on its website that will cover technical information and industry updates. “The Buzz will cover a wide range of topics from the Taylor point-of-view,” stated Seth Gladden, director of marketing for the Meridian Flooring Division and Taylor Adhesives. “We will write articles about things like technical issues, installation advice, industry vocabulary, product innovations, marketing insights and industry ‘buzz.’”
Rubio Monocoat, in partnership with Festool USA and Shaper Tools, held PhilanthroMake, an event combining craftsmanship, camaraderie, and charity which took place Oct. 18–19 at Austin School of Furniture. Two teams of woodworkers put together a total of three builds to benefit Aynimundo and the Katz-Moses Woodworkers with Disabilities Fund. A giveaway is open and will run through Oct. 31, with a winner for each build being chosen Nov. 1. For each entry received, Rubio Monocoat USA, Festool USA, and Katz-Moses Tools will donate one dollar each, up to $2,500, and Shaper Tools will donate one dollar up to $1,000.
