The Home Depot reported sales of $40.2 billion for the third quarter of 2024, a 6.6% increase from the third quarter of 2023.
Meanwhile, net earnings were $3.6 billion for the third quarter, or $3.67 per diluted share, compared to $3.8 billion in net earnings, or $3.81 per diluted share, during the third quarter of 2023.
"While macroeconomic uncertainty remains, our third quarter performance exceeded our expectations," Home Depot CEO Ted Decker said in a statement. "As weather normalized, we saw better engagement across seasonal goods and certain outdoor projects as well as incremental sales related to hurricane demand."
