Basic Coatings Announces Floor Contests, 2020 Training School Registration

Basic Coatings (Bowling Green, Ohio) announced it will begin holding Floor-of-the-Month and Floor-of-the-Year contests for commercial, residential and sports flooring contractors.

The Residential and Commercial Floor-of-the-Month and Sport Floor-of-the-Month contests invite pros to post pictures and a brief description of projects featuring Basic Coatings products on Instagram with the hashtag #WoodFloorProud. Entries must be posted before midnight on the last day of the month to qualify. The winners will be announced within two weeks and will win $250 in Basic Coatings products.

The winners each month are automatically entered into the company’s Floor-of-the-Year contests, the winners of which will be announced before Feb. 1, 2021. The winner of the Residential and Commercial Floor-of-the-Year will receive a Festool TS 55 Cut Track Saw and 55-inch Guide Rail. The winner of the Sport Floor-of-the-Year will receive an EMack Manufacturing Game Line Taping Machine and a 25-foot Telescopic Pole Kit.

The company also announced registration for its 2020 on-site training classes.

The classes cover knowledge of different products and procedures and develop hands-on skills and sales and problem-solving techniques, the company says.

The classes all take place at 400 Van Camp Road, Bowling Green, Ohio, and include the following:

March 30–April 2: Basic Coatings Sports Floor School

May 12–14: NWFA Intermediate Installation + CP Testing

May 26–29: Basic Coatings Product Training School

June 16–18 NWFA Intermediate Sand & Finish + CP Testing

Oct. 12–15: Basic Coatings Product Training School

Oct. 27–29: NWFA Advanced Finish
