As many readers know, by now I've been an editor at Hardwood Floors longer than I care to admit. One of the benefits of that tenure, however, is that my office has become a depository of sorts for industry and National Wood Flooring Association memorabilia. I have a certain fondness for attempting to preserve the industry lore, as well as the memories of the characters who go along with it. As the NWFA approaches its 30th anniversary, we're looking for new memories from the NWFA's history: either your favorite story about an NWFA convention, school, or other event, or actual mementos. Do you have old photos from a favorite convention? Old convention brochures? Old technical publications that are now long outdated and provide some entertainment when you read them now? We'd love to hear your stories and see what artifacts you've collected in your own office. If you don't mind sharing them with me and our readers, please email me at [email protected]. In our next issue, February/March 2015, we'll share some of those favorites moments from the past, as well as look ahead to the next 30 years.
