Exhibit space for the American Coatings Show 2018 is sold out prior to the April 10–12 convention in Indianapolis, Ind. The full event has 558 registered exhibitors with 137,500 square feet of exhibit space. The biennial show was on track to exceed its 2016 attendance numbers.
City Floor Supply (King of Prussia, Pa.) concluded its seventh annual “Nailer Day” event, which drew more than 100 flooring professionals. The event’s “Fastest Nailer in the East” competition tasked participants with nailing 18 square feet of 21/4-inch red oak select flooring as quickly as possible. Robert O’Connell of O’Connell’s Custom Concepts won the competition with a time of 2:51 while FHR Flooring won the team competition with a time of 1:55. City Floor Supply’s next Nailer Day is scheduled for March 21, 2019.
The global flooring market is expected to exceed $450 billion by 2024, according to a report by Global Market Insights Inc. Much of the growth is expected to be spurred by rising construction spending on residential and non-residential buildings, particularly in emerging nations.
