While making new sleds for a custom parquet I'm about to make, I grabbed a few pieces of leftover 3/4-inch feature strip in Swartzia tomentosa, or Brazilian ebony, I made for a job 12 years ago (I hate throwing wood away!). I use Brazilian ebony for the sled rails since the wood is very durable and will not wear out from the frequent sliding.
So as I cut the miter for the rail end, I saw this and it looked too cool to not share...
