We asked readers on the WFB Facebook and Instagram pages to tell us what the best thing was that happened to them that week. Here are some responses:

I tried out this old edger by chance. It has a terrible design and weighs 44 lbs. But the performance was great, it sanded very cleanly and was easy to move. The motor is extremely quiet so you can hear the paper grinding.
Mike Somodean
Fired a liability.

Got a job a state over finally taken care of.

My guys got a $1,000 tip! I was so proud of them!

Happy clients, more jobs, money came in, and last weekend my wife and I attended the wedding celebration of my longtime friend and sanding subcontractor Jon.
Jeff Ullum
Was able to leave my crew to finish up a big project and go on vacation with the Mrs.!

Bought a van to wrap and park around town for advertising. Going to be an overland build, hopefully ready by summer.

Headed to the jobsite at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday and got lost on the way. Ended up on the Canadian border at Rainy River. Luckily I hooked my boat up instead of work trailer.
Dave Marzalek
I stopped scraping.

My customer tipped me with a handmade bowl and a jar of homemade honey. Nothing better than someone giving you something they put their heart and soul into.

My client (a high end jeweler) saw my wife’s rings and asked if it would be alright to take them to their shop and polish them (there’s an ulterior motive to be explained shortly). They also heard that our oven had just died—but they had a spare and gave it to us. Turns out it was a high-end brand we would never have been able to afford. I spent Easter weekend rebuilding part of my kitchen to make it fit. 😅 His wife gave us a bucket of freshly picked tomatoes from their garden, as well. This (so far) has been a gesture of appreciation for our workmanship and dedication to get the best results we can. All of that has been greatly appreciated by us. What my wife isn’t aware of is that the client is also making her a diamond ring and wanted to know what size and style to make by “cleaning” her rings. Looking forward to seeing her reaction! 😃🤫

An apprentice led his first refinish job going dark and nailed it!

My van kept stalling out and had to go into the shop. Good news though, this week’s job canceled and last week’s job had some things left over that needed attention, so it all worked out. Except for the not having any money part of it.

Gained some more happy clients !!!
