Happy Homeowners

Wayne Lee Headshot

The homeowner dropped in while we were working on some trim around the stairs; they are very happy with the job to this point. The folks like it so much that he gave me the check today. Now that is nice. We'll put the final coat in the AM and then we move to the next job in Huntington, Tenn.

Later I got a call from a builder on a job we did a few weeks back; we only did the sand & finish but the builder has two boards he did not like. The install guy said it is our deal to replace bad boards, the sander can get it ... attitude. So not willing to make the builder unhappy, I went over to the job and replaced the bad boards. The bad news is two became ten. Like always, "How about that one, and that one, and that one?" So it's 9 PM and I am done-13-hour day and the man should be happy. It all comes down to who he will recall; I helped him, not the other guy. Next time we might get the install, so this will not happen again.

Looking ahead we still have a full week. Like I said, we gotta coat in the AM, and then repair in the afternoon. We'll start a sand & finish Thursday, about 700 feet that we need to have done by Friday. Don't worry: It will happen, and something tells me that we will have a good time doing it.
