Aacer Flooring (Peshtigo, Wis.) donated maple flooring for a new multi-purpose gymnasium at Peshtigo Elementary Learning Center.
The gym had been in need of an upgrade for some time, but the school lacked the funding in its budget for new flooring.
Other materials and services for the installation project were supplied by PoloPlaz, Norton Abrasives, Fortifiber, Westy’s Trucking and Aacer’s Wisconsin dealer, Stalker Sports Floors.
Many of Aacer’s employees live in the Peshtigo area and graduated from the school or have children currently attending it, the company said.
“Aacer Flooring’s hardwood may be found around the world, but the gym floor installed two miles down the road from the plant may be the project that produces the greatest pride,” the company stated.
The new gym was opened to the public Nov. 10.
“We greatly appreciate the generous donations from Aacer Flooring and their partners that will benefit our students and our community members for decades to come,” stated Brian Williams, director of buildings, grounds and transportation for the Peshtigo School District.
