Glide Skateboards Are Made From Recycled Maple Gym Flooring From Virginia State University

The life cycle for wood flooring is limited only by imagination. Brian Lopez of Richmond, Va., reclaimed maple wood sports flooring used by the Virginia State University

Trojans basketball team and with it created a line of skateboards, according to TreeHugger.com. Lopez's website, GlideSkateboards.com, has photos of the process he uses to make his full line of products. And TreeHugger reminds us that a skateboard can always be made into furniture after it becomes worn out.
