Armstrong World Industries (Lancaster, Pa.) has named Mark Hershey senior vice president, general counsel and secretary effective July 1, with an annual total cash compensation of $600,000 with bonuses, according to an SEC filing by the company. Hershey will also receive a $300,000 signing bonus on Oct. 31. Hershey, 41, comes to Armstrong from Ricoh Americas, where he was appointed senior vice president, general counsel and secretary in April 2010. There, he was responsible for the legal, ethics, compliance, security and regulatory duties. Prior to its merger with Ricoh Americas in October 2008, Hershey served in the same role for IKON Office Solutions Inc. Hershey holds a bachelor's degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University and earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
On April 1, Armstrong's former senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Jeffery Nickel, stepped down.
