The NWFA has launched two pilot membership programs in partnership with the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA). One program is directed at dealer-contractors who are not part of either association, and the other is directed at dealer-contractors who are part of the NWFA but not the WFCA.
Dealer-contractors have the opportunity to join both associations for a flat rate of $500 paid to the NWFA; this represents savings of $200 compared with joining each association individually. After joining, dealer-contractors are eligible to apply for a scholarship from WFCA (up to $500) that can be used for approved training events such as the NWFA Wood Flooring Expo or technical schools. If the new member takes advantage of the training, his membership immediately pays for itself, and the NWFA receives payment from WFCA for his registration fees at the expo or school. Full details of this program can be read here.
Dealer-contractors who are already members of the NWFA are eligible to join the WFCA for $175; this represents $100 off the regular WFCA membership fees. When dealer-contractors join WFCA at the NWFA rate, they are eligible for the same scholarship ($500 max) as a new member. Essentially, this would mean they would be paying $175 to attend the expo, or receive $500 toward a technical school. Full details of this program can be read here.
What's more, the scholarship is not just for new members-each year the joint membership is renewed, the scholarship fund is available.
"We are excited to try this pilot program because it provides our dealer-contractors with immediate payback," said NWFA CEO Michael Martin.
