If celebrity gawking is your thing, then you won't want to miss Surfaces 2012, which is again heading to Las Vegas on Jan. 23-26.
On Jan. 24, DIY Network's Chris Grundy, host of "Cool Tools," will be on hand in Tool Alley from 10 a.m. To 1:30 p.m. Grundy will be on hand to test some tools and offer assistance on the Tool Alley stage where exhibitors will be showcasing their latest and greatest. After that, from 2-4 p.m., Grundy will be on hand at the Stone Fabricator's Alliance booth (#B1032) to sign autographs.
Antonio Ballatore, the season-four winner of HGTV's top-rated reality competition "Design Star" and current host of "The Antonio Treatment," will serve as the keynote speaker from noon to 1 p.m. during the Designer Day luncheon on Jan. 25. Next, Ballatore will head to the Bedrosians booth (#B3843) to sign autographs until 3 p.m.
Designer Day will also feature two educational seminars: "Design and Color Trends: 2012-2013 with Victoria Redshaw, Scarlet Opus" and "Surfaces Stories - International Trends with Mark Woodman, Mark Woodman Design & Color." In addition, a trend-forecasting tour, lead by Redshaw, and an off-site tour of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will be offered.
