The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) has developed a system to help its member companies quickly express their opinions to legislators regarding issues impacting the industry. Member companies have access to pre-written, revisable letters which can be sent based on ZIP code to the appropriate government officials.
ASC Rapid Response Teams, made up of one to three employees at each member company, can go to the TSCA Reform, California Safer Chemicals Rules, Canadian Chemical Management Plan, South Coast Rule 1168, MDI/TDI Chemical Action Plan, REACH Chemical of High Concern List, and USGBC's LEED.
"Our board felt we had an opportunity to add value to our member companies by refocusing our internal efforts on regulatory affairs and leveraging the power of our industry via stronger collaboration and software tools that enable communications," Matthew Croson, president of ASC, said in a statement.
