Carlisle Wide Plank Floors Shifts to Prefinished Flooring

Carlisle Wide Plank Floors (Stoddard, N.H.) will shift from custom flooring to prefinished flooring, according to a company statement.

The change in direction for the nearly 50-year-old company was a "strategic move to increase its market share within the wood flooring industry with more competitive pricing and faster lead times," according to the statement.

Carlisle's President and CEO Michael Stanek predicted both production per square foot and revenue would increase by 20 percent in 2015 as a result of the shift.

To mark the change, the company released 12 new flooring collections. The floors can be purchased direct via Carlisle's website.

The company will continue to manufacture custom flooring.

Correction: The original article implied that Carlisle no longer manufacturing custom flooring. In fact, Carlisle will continue to manufacture custom flooring in addition to prefinished flooring. We regret the confusion.
