The “Charles Peterson Professional Grade” and “Charles Peterson Signature Grade” flooring is sawn from high-quality veneer grade logs using radial sawmilling technology. All the boards are kept “in the boule,” or organized in the order they were sawn, which creates a floor that appears to be sawn from one tree, the company says.
The flooring features color grading that eliminates the lightest and darkest 20 percent of the species’ natural color range. It is also available in wide widths.
Charles Peterson Signature Grade is made with color-matched logs kept together through the production process to reduce variation in grade and grain between the boards.
The products will be on display during the 2015 NWFA Wood Flooring Expo at Quarter-Sawn Flooring’s booth (No. 1156) April 29–30.
