A truck carrying Aacer flooring arrives at Philadelphia Floor Store's temporary warehouse in Marcus Hook, Pa.
Luke Mulholland, owner of Priority Rental in Aston, Pa., saw the news about the fire on television and wanted to find a way to help. After hearing the Philadelphia Floor Store staff had a temporary office space nearby, he called the company with an offer: 3,000 square feet of Priority Rental’s warehouse in Marcus Hook, Pa., complete with loading dock and racks, until they find a permanent location.
"That call from Luke changed everything," said Mike Glavin, owner, in a statement. "We would not be up and running again so quickly if not for his generosity."
On May 26, a truck carrying Aacer flooring made the first inventory drop since the fire. The following day a shipment went out.
"We’re extremely grateful to everyone who has expressed their sympathy and sent us words of encouragement,” said Joe Glavin, sales manager and co-owner, in a statement. “A tragedy like this really brings out the best in people.”
Meanwhile, counter service and online ordering is suspended until a permanent location is secured. For phone sales and custom orders, customers can call (800) 737-1786.
