Philly Floor Store Engulfed in Flames, Company Plans to Rebuild

Philadelphia Floor Store suffered a massive fire at its Conshohocken, Pa., warehouse early Sunday morning, and the building is a complete loss.

Multiple fire companies showed up to fight the blaze, which started around 3:30 a.m., according to ABC6. Firefighters who arrived early said they heard multiple explosions. What was left of the building is being demolished. No cause for the fire has been given.

The building, which also housed a window blinds company, was not occupied during the time of the fire. The fire chief said the petroleum products inside the warehouse did not pose a health risk to residents nearby.

Philadelphia Floor Store owner Mike Glavin said he is grateful to the firefighters who put out the blaze, and that the company is currently “rising from the ashes.”

"We are touched and grateful for the outpouring of support from everyone in the flooring community,” Glavin said in an email to HF. “To our customers, please know that we are working diligently to get back up and running and we will be in touch with all of you shortly. To our vendors, thank you for your continued support. We plan to rebuild and come back bigger, stronger and better than ever."
