Bona (Malmö, Sweden) has named Christer Wahlquist its president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2027.
Wahlquist succeeds Lidija Broström, Bona's senior vice president of marketing, who has led the company as interim president and CEO since August 2025. Broström will guide the transition before returning to her marketing role. Wahlquist will join Bona as a consultant Oct. 1, working with the board and leadership teams ahead of formally stepping into the head executive position.
Wahlquist brings more than 30 years of experience from Nolato, a global business-to-business company serving the medical technology sector. He served as Nolato's president and CEO for more than a decade, a period in which annual revenue grew from just over SEK 4 billion (USD 420 million) to roughly SEK 10 billion (USD 1 billion).
Board chair Kerstin Lindell cited Wahlquist's "track record of bringing people together, strengthening operations and supporting long-term growth."
