Armstrong Floor Products (Lancaster, Pa.) will initiate a price increase for all residential and commercial flooring products in Canada.
The amount of the price increase was not disclosed in the announcement from Armstrong, and Michele Zelman, a spokesperson for the company, said in an email she did not have specifics “to release at this point.”
The increase will take effect on all orders shipped after Oct. 12.
Armstrong said in a statement that the increases are due to fluctuations in the exchange rates during the past several months. The Canadian dollar has decreased in value from $0.85 USD on Jan. 2 to $0.77 on Aug. 18.
