Lewis Bros. Lumber Co. (Aliceville, Ala.) earned the NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification.
The certification means that the manufacturing company’s wood flooring meets or exceeds industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content and average board length.
The company, which was founded in 1948, opened its flooring division this year. It currently offers red and white oak in Select/Better, No. 1 and No. 2 in 2¼-inch and 3¼-inch widths.
“We provide air-dried and kiln-dried lumber, and have been exporting to Europe and Asia for more than 30 years,” said Jeff Lewis, president, in a statement. “Although we are new to the flooring market, we are extremely proud of the product that we manufacture. The NWFA/NOFMA certification is another way to show that we are committed to our products.”
