Mannington Mills’ Chairman Squashes N.J. Exit Rumors

Mannington Mills’ is not leaving Salem County, N.J., its home for more than four generations of family owners, according to a speech given by Keith Campbell, owner and chairman of the board, and reported by NJ.com.

Rumors that the company, which provides 450 jobs at two locations in Salem County, was leaving began after word spread that Campbell was selling his home and moving to Delaware. He also sold a vacation home in the Poconos Mountains and purchased one in the South.

"Suddenly people were saying Mannington Mills was leaving Salem," Campbell said at a fundraising dinner Oct 14. "And I'm like 'What, how did you dot the lines with all of that to come up with that conclusion (Mannington Mills supposedly leaving)?'"
